I agree with LexaHergon, this comes across even stronger because it doesn't have words getting in the way (but we still get the message, and with some wiggle room for personal interpretations).
I had no expectations going into this and what I got out of it was something that I've felt and understood but haven't talked about much. In my environment it isn't uncommon for people to be taking medication for their problems so it almost works as a stimulus for doubt? Like, if most people you're surrounded by are on meds just to enjoy healthy lives, when you're feeling down or in a rut who's to say you don't need treatment too? It becomes hard to tell what is passing emotion and what is actually a chronic condition.
So I can really understand that denial of needing help or having something wrong with you.
This animation just felt..very real.

Really great shots in here! Favorite parts were Ryan throwing Eric's stuff out the window, the vacuum scene, Ryan going up the stairs, and the credits really successfully set the tone! My biggest critique is that some of the cuts could be quicker; usually people have a problem because they don't leave enough time for actions to register but you leave more than enough time for that. If some of the cuts were quicker it would make the comedy come across even stronger (and with all of the awesome voices and gags you've got going you can definitely take advantage of that). Awesome dialogue too, and I could keep listing even more specific points that I loved but overall great job!

I happened across this by chance and I'm really glad I did.
I agree with Mealguien on how this reflects the complex emotions one has towards one's creation and where to draw the line and call out "the end". It was extremely satisfying that is not only had the humor that Eddsworld has always expressed, but in Tord's final exit it was also a tad somber, and the contrast of that was really great. Tom being in the spotlight was especially fun; I love his sense of humor and was excited to get more of it! Overall this was really fantastic, and it's equally inspiring to see the long list of collaborators (and amongst them some of my other favorite Newgrounds animators, no less!) Really, REALLY great work.

Worked perfectly on my mic!
I agree with igott about the multiple breaths, though; if you wanted to add that but still keep it challenging, you could add obstacles that you can't run into (and hopefully no one would run out of breath!) You also have the built in challenge that, even though they're allowed multiple breaths, they can't breathe too hard and they can't let the plane hit the ground. So I think it could still be challenging and not go on forever.
The only question is, would it become a health hazard?
Hmmmm...

A really awesome mash-up!!! Is it completely vocals? Because that's sweet; there aren't any "blank spots" because you seem to cover them really well with overlapping vocals and transitions, as well as a pretty consistent and constant background of vocals. I especially love the harmony in the end, it really makes this song worth listening to over and over and overandoverandover... (etc.) I honestly can't think of many critiques for this, I guess just watching the harmony in the end because it got louder (just because of all the voices, I guess) and threatened to drown out the main melody? It didn't, but I suppose that's always something to watch out for! But the balance was pretty good, and I liked how you kinda pared it down in the end to the single vocal. Preeeeetty awesome!

raggd46 responds:

Thank you so much! Yep its all voices done by myself apart from the pretty awesome solo done by Tony Mchugh (you should check out his stuff too :P )

Hmmm, very "melty". Like one of those standard animations where everything's normal, and then it just melts, bursts, fizzles into madness and imagination? The changing of tunes gives it a cool flow. If anything, there are some parts that can seem a bit repetitive, but on a whole it's, well, mad! In a good way! And it maintains a consistent feel, which is awesome from an animation standpoint.

Ready, steady, cool!

I've had this floating around my playlist for a while; it's always enjoyable to come across. Love the country/rockband feel, it's not overwhelmingly leaning towards either category (which is great balance!) Mind if i use it for an animation? (credit duly noted)

Edwin47 responds:

Thanks for the kind words. Feel free to use it, for anything you want :)

Fantastic coloring! Particularly the lips; most of the time I find it hard to indicate lips without them looking like blobs or a "kiss emoji" but you have a perfect balance in the coloring and shading to pull them off! Man, this style and the tactfully laid-out shadows and highlights is something I aspire to at some point with my art~

Really cool!! I love the effects you're using; they're scattered about but at the same time all of the movement doesn't detract from the central focus of it (which is your character) which is really nice! And the edge is a great touch. If I have any critique to give it's honestly a really minor one, in that the second tree trunk from the right seems to have an odd tangent with the thinner dark tree behind it...? But like I said, very minor. Awesome!

cecameron responds:

Hey, thanks a lot! Ah, I always manage to miss a tangent or two. I'll keep a better eye out next time.

Ha, awesome!!! I love the texture on the fur; even better than I pictured it! And ESPECIALLY the DJ panels, ohmygoodness, the detail is PERFECT. Then of course there's the lighting, the mask...just awesome. Awesomelicious. Did we ever figure out who won for this contest? I kinda stopped checking after a while, but there were several cool pieces and I'd love to see who was picked!
But again, amazing, you took this to a level that I totally wouldn't have thought of on my own. :D
